A few days after former five-star Mater Dei CB Elias Ricks‍ announced he was transferring in order to graduate early from high school, four-star CB Darion Green-Warren‍ left the same school and enrolled at Narbonne.

”Narbonne just seemed like a good fit for me,” said Green-Warren. “I get to go back to the city, I think they’re building something big there and I want to be a part of theat. I want to graduate in December and now I’ll be able to do that. I like and know a lot of players on that team and they have a really good coaching staff. I just thought Narbonne was the best fit for me.”

Since last season the Gauchos have added CB Macen Williams‍, Jared Greenfield‍, Anthony Beavers, ATH Seven McGee‍, WR Traeshon Holden‍ and others.

As far as recruiting goes, the transfer doesn’t impact that at all and Green-Warren will still take all five of his official visits, including one to USC.

Mater Dei now has two huge holes to fill with the departure of Ricks and Green-Warren and will rely and several extremely talented underclassmen in Jaylin Davies, Josh Hunter, Domani Jackson and others to fill them.
