OLB Laiatu Latu (6-5, 245) from Jesuit HS in Carmichael, CA took his official visit to USC two weeks ago with CB Chris Steele, DE Joshua Pakola, CB Erick Young, DE George Karlaftis, OL Devonate Dobbs, DT Siaki Ika and TE Jude Wolfe.

Recent Trojan commit Chris Steele felt Latu would be one of the targets USC has a great shot at. Latu talked about what stood out on his visit.

"The campus is beautiful, one of the most gorgeous campuses I’ve seen yet," he said. "The facilities are top notch and very good. The staff was one of my highlights of the trip because they were so welcoming and I got to bond with a lot of them. The staff was very nice and very funny.
Coach Nansen is my primary coach and I got to spend time with coach Helton, coach udeze, coach Ivan, coach mark and many more."

Latu said the visit had a big impact on him and explained why.

"My biggest take away was getting to spend time with the players and bonding with them and them showing me the meaning behind Faith, Family, Football. I’m looking for the academics, football history, family oriented and would I be able to live there for 4 years."

Although he's unsure when, Latu said he may visit USC again at some point during or after the season.
